Quick answer: For Samsung Galaxy creators, look past Apple-specific advertising and test the camera modes available on the exact Android handset.

Physical compatibility first

Galaxy phones vary in weight, body width and thickness, especially with protective cases and large camera bumps. Check DJI’s phone size guidance for the exact gimbal. A Galaxy Ultra and a smaller Galaxy A phone do not necessarily balance in the same way.

Android tracking and Mimo

Apple DockKit is not an Android technology. DJI Mimo and supported Multifunctional Module workflows can provide alternatives on eligible Android devices. Verify the exact device and app combination rather than assuming every phone supports all tracking modes advertised on a product page.

Choosing between the models

The Osmo Mobile 7 is the lower-cost mechanical stabilizer at KSh 10,895. The 7P adds a built-in extension rod and DJI module options. The 8 adds unlimited 360-degree pan that remains a useful hardware feature even without DockKit. The 8P adds remote framing with FrameTap.

Try the camera setup

Confirm Bluetooth pairing, video orientation, supported recording resolution and any subject tracking feature you expect to use. Ask Infinite Tech to verify your phone model before buying, and check the exact region/package for module accessories.

Frequently asked question

Can a Galaxy phone use Apple DockKit on the 8?

No. Samsung owners should evaluate the supported DJI Mimo and module-based functions instead.
