DJI Osmo Mobile iPhone Compatibility: DockKit and Mimo Guide
Quick answer: An iPhone can fit a DJI clamp but still lack support for a particular software tracking feature. Check physical dimensions and app requirements separately.

Measure the mounted phone
DJI lists a 170–300 g supported phone weight and 67–84 mm phone width for the compared range. Check thickness, case and camera-module protrusion as well. A thick protective case or detachable lens can push the handset outside its intended balance and grip limits.
Understand DockKit
DJI’s Osmo Mobile 8 support page documents DockKit native tracking for compatible iPhones. Its stated requirement is iPhone 12 or later on iOS 18.5 or later, excluding iPhone SE (third generation) and iPhone 16e under the published guidance. The 8 and 8P are the relevant DockKit-capable models in this comparison.
Mimo tracking differs
DJI Mimo has its own shooting and supported tracking features. Don’t assume every native iPhone camera function works the same way in Mimo or vice versa. Confirm the specific app used for recording, the iOS version and whether an accessory module is needed for the workflow.
Match the features to your needs
The 7 and 7P can stabilize suitable iPhones for routine shooting. The 8 adds unlimited pan and compatible DockKit operation. The 8P adds the detachable FrameTap remote. If native-camera tracking does not matter, a cheaper model can be sufficient.
