DJI Osmo Mobile vs Zhiyun Smooth Gimbals in Kenya
Quick answer: Infinite Tech sells DJI Osmo Mobile models and Zhiyun Smooth products. Choose by verified phone compatibility, features and local support, not brand loyalty.
Products to compare: DJI Osmo Mobile 7 — KSh 10,895 and DJI Osmo Mobile 7P — KSh 14,895. DJI prices were checked 31 October 2026, and current selling prices can change.
Why DJI might fit
DJI offers an established Osmo Mobile family with integrated tripod options, DJI Mimo workflows and differentiated 7, 7P, 8 and 8P features. Unlimited 360-degree pan and supported Apple DockKit on the 8 series are manufacturer-stated distinctions. But the right choice depends on a particular user’s camera app and filming style.
Why consider Zhiyun
Zhiyun Smooth models provide alternative smartphone stabilization workflows, sometimes emphasizing different handling, lighting or control features. Features differ between variants such as Smooth-Q3 and Smooth-Q3 Combo. Compare the exact SKU, included accessories and current official specifications rather than declaring one brand categorically superior.
Cost and service comparison
At Infinite Tech, DJI Osmo Mobile 7 starts at KSh 10,895, followed by 7P, 8 and 8P. Zhiyun prices must be checked on their own live product pages and compared on a like-for-like accessory basis. Ask about the warranty, availability and spare parts or service routes for either brand.
A practical purchase test
Bring the real phone and protective case. Check clamp balance, orientation transitions, control responsiveness, app compatibility and intended tracking mode on each candidate. The best gimbal is the one that reliably supports your filming workflow, not the one with the most marketing bullet points.
Frequently asked question
Is DJI always better than Zhiyun?
No. Compare specific models and supported features. Brand-level claims without matched products are not reliable.
