Best PS5 Games in Kenya 2026: Top Games by Genre, Budget & Play Style

The best PS5 game is not the same for every player. A football fan, a story-first gamer, a parent buying for a child and someone looking for competitive couch multiplayer all need different recommendations. This Infinite Tech guide organizes the current PS5 catalogue by genre, budget and play style so Kenyan buyers can choose more intelligently.

Best PS5 game overall for action-adventure fans: Ghost of Yōtei

Ghost of Yōtei is a strong choice for players who want a premium single-player action-adventure experience with exploration and a cinematic presentation. It is especially appealing to players who enjoyed samurai-era action games and want a modern PS5 showcase. At the time of this guide, Infinite Tech lists it at KSh 8,300.

Best PS5 football game: EA SPORTS FC 27

For players who spend most of their gaming time on football, EA SPORTS FC 27 is the obvious current-generation consideration in the FC series. Buyers on a tighter budget should also compare FC 26 and FC 25 instead of automatically choosing the newest release. The older game may offer better value for casual offline play, while the newest version is more attractive to players who want the most current squads, systems and online community.

Best fighting game for competitive players: TEKKEN 8

TEKKEN 8 is one of the strongest choices for players who want deep one-on-one competition. It works well as a personal skill game and as a local multiplayer title when friends visit. Buyers should also compare Mortal Kombat 1, Street Fighter 6 and Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO depending on the fighting style and characters they prefer.

Best racing game for car enthusiasts: Gran Turismo 7

Gran Turismo 7 remains a natural recommendation for players who want a polished car-focused experience. If you prefer a more open-world style, The Crew Motorfest is worth comparing. F1 players have F1 24 and F1 25, while rally fans can choose WRC titles and bike-racing fans can look at RIDE and MotoGP.

Best open-world value pick: GTA V

Grand Theft Auto V remains one of the easiest games to recommend to adult players who want a large open world, substantial single-player content and a well-established online ecosystem. At KSh 4,300 in the current Infinite Tech catalogue, it also sits well below the price of many newer premium releases.

Best story-driven PS5 games

For players who prioritize narrative, atmosphere and character-driven campaigns, consider:

• Ghost of Yōtei
• God of War Ragnarök
• The Last of Us Part I
• The Last of Us Part II Remastered
• Horizon Forbidden West
• UNCHARTED: Legacy of Thieves Collection
• Alan Wake 2
• Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
• Cyberpunk 2077
• Death Stranding 2: On the Beach

UNCHARTED: Legacy of Thieves Collection is particularly attractive for someone who wants cinematic action and exploration at a mid-range price.

Best PS5 games for local multiplayer

If the console will be shared by friends or family in the same room, prioritize games with strong local multiplayer modes. Fighting titles such as TEKKEN 8, Mortal Kombat 1 and Street Fighter 6 are obvious choices. Football titles in the EA SPORTS FC series are also popular for head-to-head matches. WWE 2K games can work well for group sessions, while Overcooked! All You Can Eat is designed around cooperative chaos.

We are expanding this topic into dedicated 2-player, couch co-op and multiplayer PS5 guides.

Best PS5 games for sports fans

• Football: EA SPORTS FC 27, FC 26 and FC 25.
• Basketball: NBA 2K27, NBA 2K26 and NBA 2K25.
• Wrestling: WWE 2K26, WWE 2K25 and WWE 2K23.
• MMA: UFC 6 and UFC 5.
• Cricket: Cricket 26 and Cricket 22.
• American football: Madden NFL 25.
• Ice hockey: NHL 25 and NHL 24.

Best PS5 horror games

Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil Village, Resident Evil Requiem, Alan Wake 2 and Alone in the Dark are for players who actively want tension, darker themes and survival-horror elements. Horror games can be unsuitable for younger players, so check official age ratings before purchasing for a child.

Best PS5 RPG and fantasy games

Elden Ring remains a major choice for players who enjoy demanding action RPGs and exploration. Diablo IV suits loot-driven action RPG fans, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is stronger for players who want story and party-based role-playing, while The Witcher 3 remains a large fantasy adventure with excellent value.

Best PS5 games for younger and family players

Astro Bot, Sackboy: A Big Adventure, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Sonic Frontiers, SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS and Minecraft are easier starting points when shopping for younger or family audiences. Age suitability still depends on the individual child, so parents should check the official content rating and online features.

Best PS5 games under KSh 5,000

You do not need a KSh 8,000–10,000 budget to build a strong library. Current sub-KSh 5,000 examples include EA SPORTS FC 26, GTA V, Mortal Kombat 1, Resident Evil 4, Sifu, Watch Dogs: Legion, Sonic Frontiers, WRC 10, NBA 2K26 and The Witcher 3. Our dedicated PS5 Games Under KSh 5,000 guide will keep this price band focused.

Best premium PS5 games

If budget is less important than buying a newer premium title, consider Ghost of Yōtei, Resident Evil Requiem, 007 First Light, Black Myth: Wukong, Crimson Desert, Death Stranding 2 and UFC 6. Newness does not guarantee that a game suits your tastes, so match the genre and play style first.

How we choose the best PS5 games

This guide is not a claim that one game is objectively better than every other. We look at the type of player each title serves, replay value, genre, multiplayer options, price in the current Infinite Tech catalogue and how easy it is to recommend to a clear audience. As our catalogue changes, recommendations should change too.
