Best Desktop Computers Under KSh 35,000 in Kenya (2026)

desktop computers under 35000 Kenya — A search for desktop computers under KSh 35,000 in Kenya can produce misleading comparisons: one price may be for a system unit, another includes a monitor, and some low-cost PCs use an older hard drive. This buyer’s guide sticks to five currently listed Infinite Tech configurations between KSh 24,500 and KSh 32,500, and explains the trade-offs without assuming that accessories or operating-system licences are included.

Last checked: 28 October 2026. Prices and availability can change; configuration details are supplier-stated unless explicitly verified.

Our budget shortlist and what prices mean

The HP EliteDesk 705 G4 Ryzen 5 with 8GB RAM and 500GB storage costs KSh 24,500; the drive type is not provided. Four alternatives at KSh 32,500 are the Ryzen 5 HP EliteDesk 705 G5 8GB/256GB SSD with supplier-stated 4GB graphics, Core i5 HP ProDesk 400 G5, Core i5 HP EliteDesk 800 G4 and Dell OptiPlex 7060. The Intel models specify 8th generation and 256GB SSD.

The price ceiling applies to the computer tower or mini unit itself. If a buyer also needs a display and peripherals, those extra costs can push a complete setup beyond KSh 35,000.

Best cheapest option versus best SSD option

For basic web tools, documents and student work, the EliteDesk 705 G4 is worth considering on price—provided the 500GB drive and precise Ryzen chip are confirmed. A computer with a healthy SSD may feel much quicker at startup than one running Windows from a tired HDD, even when both advertise 8GB RAM.

For an office where applications launch repeatedly throughout the day, the confirmed-SSD listings at KSh 32,500 are easier to compare on storage performance.

Which one for Excel, QuickBooks-style software and POS?

Check the specific business applications against their system requirements. Most light office uses benefit from a stable SSD, enough memory, functioning networking and a licensed operating system. Select hardware after asking about the applications, printers, barcode scanners and any local database workload.

Do not assume ‘works with accounting’ means every version of QuickBooks, Sage or a particular Kenyan POS package has been tested. Ask for the application’s vendor requirements and a demonstration if critical.

Is 4GB graphics a budget gaming guarantee?

No. The HP EliteDesk 705 G5 supplier line states 4GB graphics, but does not name the chip, memory type or card dimensions. There can be a large difference between integrated graphics reserving memory and a discrete 4GB GPU. Request Task Manager, GPU-Z or Device Manager evidence and confirm PSU capability before planning gaming or graphic design.

For basic office video and display output, the other desktops can be suitable without a dedicated card; for games and creative workloads, the software’s GPU requirements govern.

Budget for repairs, screen and backups

A lower price is not value if a machine arrives with a worn drive, blocked BIOS settings or no suitable display adapter. Ask for at least a basic RAM test, SSD health check, operating-system licence status and a clear return/warranty policy. Retain backups on a separate device or trusted cloud account.

Ask Infinite Tech to quote the total setup cost: CPU unit, monitor, keyboard, mouse, network adapter if needed, surge-protected power, delivery and setup.
