Galaxy S25 Ultra review in Kenya — the buying verdict

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra still competes with newer Ultra flagships thanks to its S Pen, 200MP system, 6.9-inch 120Hz display and processor.

This article examines the model’s verified strengths and limitations rather than pretending that a brand-name ranking guarantees value. 2026 verdict: should you still pay for S25 Ultra?

The Galaxy S25 Ultra is a premium productivity and photography phone whose worth now depends on the gap to Galaxy S26 Ultra. If the older flagship is significantly less expensive, buyers can still get an exceptionally capable display, Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy hardware, integrated S Pen and versatile optical zoom. It is not automatically the best value at any price, particularly if the newer model offers features you will actually use.

Camera: evaluate lenses, not just 200MP

Samsung specifies 200MP primary, 50MP ultra-wide, 50MP 5x and 10MP 3x cameras. These lenses serve different purposes: architecture, people, street scenes and distant subjects. The 10x figure sometimes used in promotions can describe processed optical-quality zoom; it should not be misrepresented as a dedicated 10x optical lens. We have not performed photography tests or compared its image processing against the S26 Ultra under controlled conditions.

S Pen and business workflows

The built-in S Pen can suit meeting notes, annotating PDFs and quick image markups. Evaluate whether that workflow matters to you; it is wasted value if you never remove the stylus. Check the exact S Pen feature set rather than assuming every generation retains all remote-control functions. Strong hardware plus mobile productivity does not eliminate the need for a laptop for large desktop workflows.

Battery, charging and actual endurance

The 5,000mAh rating gives a factory capacity, not a fixed two-day runtime. A 6.9-inch QHD+ 120Hz screen, mobile data, hotspot use and GPS can all change your charging needs. In a Kenyan buying decision, warranty and an authentic compatible adapter should be valued alongside charging speed. Check the packaged accessories rather than assuming a 45W charger is included.

Compare S25 Ultra against S24 and S26

Use the Galaxy S25 Ultra versus S26 Ultra comparison for the major changes. Buyers shopping refurbished S24 Ultra units should weigh condition and remaining support life. For S25 Ultra, the strongest argument is a meaningful price saving with no compromise to the features you require.
