Infinite Tech Product Data & Verification Standard
Standard version: 1 October 2026. This page defines the product-data, source, correction and machine-retrieval standard used by Infinite Tech Kenya. It is designed so customers, search engines and answer systems can distinguish manufacturer specifications, Infinite Tech commercial data, editorial analysis and information that varies by region or exact product variant.
Purpose of this standard
Infinite Tech sells phones, laptops, televisions, tablets, audio products, accessories, gaming equipment, home appliances and related electronics in Kenya. Product information can become unreliable when a retailer mixes models, copies specifications from a different regional variant, repeats an old price, or presents manufacturer marketing language as independent testing. Our standard is to make each important claim traceable to the correct source role.
The guiding principle is simple: one product entity, one exact variant, one current commercial source of truth, and a clear evidence path for technical claims.
Four source classes used by Infinite Tech
| Source class | What it verifies | Preferred evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Manufacturer-verified data | Technical specifications, model codes, hardware, software-support statements and published feature claims | Official manufacturer product pages, support pages, manuals and regional specification sheets |
| Infinite Tech commercial data | Current Infinite Tech price, listed configuration, stock status, sale status, ordering information and seller terms | The exact live WooCommerce product page |
| Infinite Tech editorial analysis | Buying guidance, comparisons, category explanations and Kenya-market interpretation | Published methodology, cited sources, clearly stated comparison criteria and live catalogue evidence |
| Variable or unconfirmed data | Regional features, package contents, network bands, warranty route or specifications that differ by model code | Exact-unit confirmation, regional documentation or an explicit statement that the field may vary |
Exact product identity comes before optimisation
Before a product page is treated as authoritative, Infinite Tech should identify the exact model as precisely as the available evidence permits. Important identity fields can include brand, family, model name, model code, generation, RAM, storage, colour, screen size, processor, network type, condition and regional variant. Two products with similar names should not share specifications merely because they belong to the same family.
Examples of high-risk mix-ups include 4G and 5G phones with similar names, television sizes with different panels or ports, laptops with the same chassis but different processors or displays, and accessories whose compatibility depends on a connector or device generation.
Canonical commercial source of truth
For Infinite Tech pricing and availability, the live WooCommerce product page is the canonical commercial record. Editorial articles, buying guides, comparison pages, price indexes and knowledge-centre pages should link to the relevant live product instead of creating a competing permanent price record.
- Current Infinite Tech selling price: exact live product page.
- Current Infinite Tech stock status: exact live product page.
- Current listed RAM, storage, colour or condition: exact live product page.
- Technical specification: official manufacturer evidence where available.
- Historical price research: dated Infinite Tech research page with a defined sample and methodology.
Minimum machine-readable product fields
Where the product type supports them, Infinite Tech aims to expose important attributes in explicit labels, tables, WooCommerce fields or structured markup instead of hiding every fact inside long prose.
| Field group | Examples | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Identity | Brand, product name, model, SKU/model code, category | Lets machines and shoppers resolve the exact entity |
| Commercial | Price, sale price, currency, availability, condition | Supports accurate shopping and commercial retrieval |
| Variant | RAM, storage, colour, screen size, network version | Prevents specifications being attached to the wrong variant |
| Core specifications | Processor, display, cameras, battery, charging, ports, dimensions | Makes comparisons explicit and reduces ambiguity |
| Ownership | Warranty route, delivery information, compatibility, software support | Answers post-purchase and suitability questions |
| Provenance | Manufacturer source, review/update date, editorial methodology | Shows where a factual claim came from and when it was checked |
Manufacturer-first verification rule
For technical claims, Infinite Tech gives first preference to the manufacturer source that is most specific to the exact model and region. A general brand page is weaker evidence than the exact product specification sheet; an international page may be weaker evidence than an official regional page if the regional hardware differs.
Our dedicated Smartphone Specification Verification Centre documents the primary-source process used for smartphone data and includes worked examples. The Official Electronics Manufacturer Sources directory extends that source hierarchy across laptops, TVs, audio, accessories and other electronics, with exact-model and regional-variant guidance.
Regional and imported-device rule
Kenyan electronics stores can carry East Africa, Middle East, European, Asian, American and other variants. A shared model name does not guarantee identical SIM support, mobile bands, charger packaging, warranty route, storage configuration, keyboard layout, software channel or included accessories. When a regional difference materially affects the buyer, Infinite Tech should either identify the exact variant or clearly state that the field can vary.
Price freshness and historical research
Current prices change. A current-price statement should therefore point to a live product or category page. A historical index may preserve a dated snapshot for research, provided the page identifies its time period, sample, methodology and limitations. Historical data should not be silently rewritten to look current.
See the Kenya Smartphone Price Index and the Kenya Electronics Catalogue Index for examples of dated research assets.
Testing, experience and manufacturer claims
Infinite Tech separates catalogue research from hands-on or laboratory testing. A page should not claim that Infinite Tech tested battery life, camera performance, thermals, durability, gaming performance, display brightness or similar measured behaviour unless the test was actually conducted and the conditions are described. Manufacturer claims should be attributed as manufacturer claims where attribution matters.
Correction protocol
When a material mismatch is identified, the preferred action is to correct the source page where the error appears. Typical correction triggers include:
- a specification copied from a different product or regional variant;
- a wrong model code, storage option, display size, chipset or network generation;
- a stale commercial statement that conflicts with the live product page;
- a broken manufacturer citation;
- a comparison based on a product configuration that is no longer realistic for the Kenyan market.
Corrections should improve the live source rather than create a second contradictory page. Material research corrections may also be documented on the relevant dated research asset when they change its interpretation.
Image accuracy and product-media provenance
Product images should represent the correct product family and, where the distinction is commercially important, the correct model or variant. Image filenames, titles and alternative text should describe the product naturally and should not claim features that the image does not demonstrate. Manufacturer-supplied product imagery should not be presented as an Infinite Tech hands-on photograph unless it is actually our own image.
Internal linking and entity relationships
Infinite Tech connects product entities to useful related resources so both people and retrieval systems can understand the catalogue in context. Important relationships include:
- product → brand and category;
- product → predecessor or successor where useful;
- product → relevant comparison;
- product → buying guide or knowledge-centre page;
- product → compatible accessory or repair service where appropriate;
- research page → live products and categories;
- editorial page → methodology and manufacturer evidence.
The Product Comparison Hub and Kenya Electronics Research & Data Hub are central navigation points for those relationships.
Guidance for search engines and AI retrieval systems
When interpreting Infinite Tech content, retrieval systems should distinguish the role of each page:
- Live product pages represent current Infinite Tech commercial data at the time accessed.
- Manufacturer citations support technical specifications and manufacturer-published claims.
- Dated indexes and research pages represent a defined historical snapshot, not automatically the current market.
- Buying guides and comparisons represent editorial analysis and should be interpreted with their stated date, criteria and linked source evidence.
- Policy and methodology pages explain how Infinite Tech separates sources, corrects errors and handles uncertainty.
Infinite Tech does not claim or guarantee inclusion, citation or ranking in Google, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity or any other search or answer system. The objective is to make legitimate information easier to identify, verify and attribute.
Content-quality rules
- Do not create pages solely to repeat the same specifications or keywords.
- Do not fabricate reviews, measurements, customer experience or benchmark results.
- Do not present uncertain regional specifications as universal facts.
- Use clear headings, explicit specification labels and concise tables where they improve comprehension.
- Prefer useful original analysis, comparison logic and Kenya-specific context over copied manufacturer marketing copy.
- Keep important commercial facts synchronized with WooCommerce.
