Camera resolution is not the same as image quality
Samsung’s 200MP main camera is impressive on paper, and its multi-telephoto configuration can suit long-distance scenes. Apple responds with a 48MP Pro Fusion platform, variable aperture and extensive video controls. Processing, lens quality, stabilization, lighting and software all contribute to results.
Buyers should compare representative full-resolution photographs and video samples under similar conditions. Without a controlled test, it would be misleading to state that 200MP must beat 48MP, or the reverse.
Productivity: S Pen and DeX versus Apple integration
Samsung’s integrated S Pen provides a distinct use case for signing, annotating and taking quick handwritten notes. DeX can support a desktop-like workspace when used with compatible displays and peripherals. That can be compelling for some Kenyan business owners.
The iPhone may be a more natural fit if your workflow already relies on Mac, iPad, Apple Watch, AirDrop, iCloud and iMessage. Check whether the apps you actually use transfer cleanly between ecosystems before switching.
Software, mobile networks and warranties
Both devices support modern 5G connectivity. A Kenyan buyer should still check the specific imported model, SIM configuration, carrier bands, supported eSIM provisioning, warranty source and regional software features. Availability of some AI functions may depend on language, geography and account eligibility.
Neither manufacturer’s headline battery score should be compared against the other without considering the test method. Look at practical use patterns instead.
Price comparison needs equivalent configuration
The iPhone 18 Pro Max Glacier physical-SIM 256GB variation is currently KSh 202,995. Infinite Tech has Samsung S26 Ultra 256GB listings, but their price history and variant descriptions are inconsistent across different URLs; use the live checkout page and reconcile duplicate listings before publishing a single definitive comparison price.
Choose Apple for an iOS-first workflow and advanced video tools; choose Samsung for S Pen, DeX, Android flexibility and its specific camera arrangement.
Buying checklist for Kenya
Before purchasing, verify the exact device model number, genuine finish, storage capacity, physical SIM or eSIM format, activation status, warranty eligibility, seller returns terms, compatible charger, network compatibility and confirmed unit availability. An online “in stock” flag does not independently establish a physical unit count. Speak with Infinite Tech before collecting from Nairobi CBD or paying for delivery.
Frequently asked questions

No. Megapixel count alone does not determine image quality.
Which one supports handwriting with a built-in stylus?
The Galaxy S26 Ultra includes an S Pen.
Can both run M-PESA apps?
App availability and compatibility should be checked on the exact software version and region; both platforms support Kenyan financial and communication apps subject to app-provider requirements.
