Dell OptiPlex 7490 vs 5270 All-in-One: Kenya Buying Comparison
Dell OptiPlex 7490 vs 5270 All-in-One: Kenya Buying Comparison — Choosing a desktop in Kenya requires more than checking a headline processor name. This guide compares the relevant Infinite Tech all-in-one options by practical usage, total cost and buyer risk so you can make an informed decision before contacting the shop.
Generation and price gap
The Infinite Tech configurations differ by KSh 8,000: the 5270 lists a ninth-generation Core i5 and 21.5-inch panel at KSh 52,500; the 7490 lists a tenth-generation Core i5 and 23.8-inch panel at KSh 60,500. Both quote 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD, making the screen size and exact processor particularly important.
Which works better in a busy office?
A larger screen can make side-by-side spreadsheets and browser windows more comfortable, particularly for accounting or administrative work. But a CPU generation label by itself is not a performance benchmark. Request the full chip model, and if the units are refurbished, compare thermals, fan noise and SSD health under a realistic workload.
Buyer verdict by use case
Pick the 5270 when a compact front desk and a lower budget matter most. Consider the 7490 for a 24-inch workstation or when a verified processor upgrade justifies the KSh 8,000 premium. Ask for screen photographs, warranty, camera functionality and available ports before selecting.
