JS NovaEdge 40″ Veon 5K2K 5120×2160 120Hz Ultrawide Curved Monitor

JS NovaEdge 40″ Veon 5120×2160 5K2K 120Hz Curved Monitor

The JS NovaEdge 40 Veon moves beyond normal ultrawide resolution with a 40-inch 5120×2160 5K2K panel. Current product references identify an LG IPS panel, 120Hz refresh rate, 1ms response specification and 100% sRGB colour coverage. It is designed for users who want more vertical detail than 3440×1440 ultrawides while retaining a wide 21:9 workspace.

The 5120×2160 resolution contains far more pixels than 3440×1440, which is useful for detailed creative work, dense spreadsheets, large coding environments and multitasking. It also places more demand on the connected graphics hardware, particularly at high refresh rates.

Why 5K2K matters

“5K2K” is a practical shorthand for 5120×2160: roughly 5K pixels across and 2160 pixels vertically. That 2160-pixel vertical resolution is the same vertical count used by conventional 4K UHD displays, but spread across a wider ultrawide canvas. The result is a sharp, spacious desktop that can show more information than 3440×1440 without forcing you into a 32:9 super-ultrawide.

LG IPS panel for wide-angle productivity

Current supplier references identify an LG IPS panel. IPS technology is valued for stable colour and viewing consistency across a wide screen, which is especially important on a 40-inch ultrawide where the outer edges sit at a greater angle from the viewer.

The listed 100% sRGB coverage makes the monitor suitable for web graphics, office design work, general photo editing and video workflows that target the sRGB colour space. For professional colour-critical work, calibration and workflow-specific colour management are still recommended.

120Hz: smoother than a standard professional display

Most productivity-focused high-resolution displays run at 60Hz. The NovaEdge 40 Veon is listed at 120Hz, giving smoother scrolling, pointer movement and animation while still providing enough refresh headroom for gaming. Driving 5120×2160 at high frame rates is demanding, so GPU capability matters more here than on the 34-inch models.

Veon connectivity

The Veon version uses the traditional PC-display route with HDMI, DisplayPort, audio and DC power. If you need USB-C for a laptop workstation, compare it with the JS NovaEdge 40 Auren USB-C. That version keeps the 5120×2160/120Hz platform and adds USB-C.

Who benefits most from a 40-inch 5K2K monitor?

• Video editors: more room for timelines, preview and tool panels.
• Developers: code, terminal, documentation and browser can remain visible together.
• Traders and analysts: multiple charts and large spreadsheets fit naturally.
• Designers: IPS viewing consistency plus a dense 2160-pixel vertical workspace.
• Gamers: 120Hz ultrawide gaming for systems powerful enough to drive 5120×2160.

Key Specifications

34-inch vs 40-inch vs 49-inch

The 34-inch models prioritise 180Hz speed and easier desk fit. This 40-inch model prioritises very high 5120×2160 resolution and 2160-pixel vertical detail. The 49-inch models use a wider 32:9 5120×1440 layout that feels more like two QHD screens merged together. Pick based on workflow, not size alone.
