Who should choose the XB13?
Choose this model when carrying size matters more than filling a large room. Place it on a stable surface and compare the sound at the volume you normally use. Battery life falls with louder playback and depends on settings, temperature and battery condition.
The USB-C socket is for charging. The XB13 does not provide USB-stick music playback, a 3.5 mm AUX input, guitar inputs or a microphone socket for karaoke. Those connections belong to different types of audio systems. Its built-in call microphone serves hands-free phone calls.
For a wider sound, budget for a second compatible XB13 and check Sony’s Stereo Pair setup instructions. A single unit remains a mono speaker. Confirm the supplied charging cable, any separate power adaptor, warranty terms and delivery cost before ordering.
Sony SRS-XB13 FAQs
How long does the SRS-XB13 battery last?
Sony lists up to 16 hours. Actual listening time depends on volume, settings and battery condition.
Can the XB13 play music from a USB flash drive?
No. Its USB Type-C port is used for charging; stream audio over Bluetooth.
Does the SRS-XB13 have AUX or guitar inputs?
No. It has no 3.5 mm AUX, guitar or external karaoke-microphone input.
Can I connect two XB13 speakers?
Yes. Stereo Pair uses two SRS-XB13 speakers. Check Sony’s pairing instructions before setup.
Can it take phone calls?
Yes. A built-in microphone supports hands-free calls with a compatible connected phone.
Is the XB13 waterproof?
It has an IP67 rating under Sony’s specified conditions. Follow the care instructions and dry the charging area before charging.
Does one SRS-XB13 provide stereo sound?
A single XB13 is a mono speaker. Stereo Pair requires a second SRS-XB13 and the correct pairing setup.
Can the XB13 connect to a laptop or tablet?
Yes, if the device supports compatible Bluetooth audio. Select the XB13 as the audio output after pairing; the listening application and device control the content.
Does the XB13 package include a wall charger?
Confirm the exact supplied package. Check the charging cable and power-adaptor requirements rather than assuming that a mains adaptor is included.
Where should I place the XB13 for everyday listening?
Use a stable, unobstructed surface near your listening area. It is a small portable speaker; compare a larger model if your main aim is higher-volume sound across a large room.
