A Kenyan buyer should evaluate the hardware bundle, activation status, subscription duration and the renewal price together.
Understand three membership levels
WHOOP One focuses on core sleep, recovery and fitness metrics, generally paired with WHOOP 5.0. Peak adds Healthspan, Health Monitor and Stress Monitor on WHOOP 5.0. Life normally includes WHOOP MG and adds specialised heart and blood-pressure related features where eligible. ECG remains region-limited and is not currently listed as available in Kenya.
What does an advertised Kenyan retail price cover?
WHOOP’s standard new-device purchases through authorized retail channels generally activate a membership (usually 12 months) when paired, according to its retailer guide. However, imported, used, unsealed or differently sourced packs can have materially different entitlements. Do not infer inclusion from a price tag: ask the seller whether the device is new, whether membership time is unredeemed and which plan activates.

How to calculate the real first-year and second-year cost
Calculate first year = delivered kit price + any additional activation/subscription charge + accessories. Then calculate second year = the renewal charge at your chosen tier + optional accessories. Do not add a full annual membership twice if the verified kit already includes one.
WHOOP’s US website currently advertises annual reference pricing around US$239 for Peak and US$359 for Life. These are not Kenya quotes: taxes, international pricing, billing terms and foreign-exchange costs may differ. Always inspect the price displayed in your WHOOP account before paying.
Renewals, upgrades and used devices
View your membership status within the app’s account/billing section. Existing members may have upgrade or extension offers; terms vary by tier and device generation. If buying used, confirm with WHOOP how activation and remaining subscription work for that particular device. A second-hand sensor should not be sold as a sealed annual membership kit without proof.
For buyers focused on workout and sleep metrics, Peak is often the simpler choice. Select Life only when its extra supported benefits warrant ongoing renewal costs.
