OnePlus Nord CE5 vs CE6 in Kenya: Specs, Battery and Price
Infinite Tech Kenya — researched buying analysis, 1 November 2026. Product pages provide current prices and available configurations.
Quick answer: OnePlus Nord CE6 is the newer midrange option; CE5 may offer better purchase value if you do not need the newer display and gaming-focused features. Compare the exact 8GB/256GB variants—many listings mix storage capacities.
Prices of matching 8GB/256GB units
Infinite Tech currently lists OnePlus Nord CE5 256GB at KSh 41,000; its description lists an 8GB RAM option. The Nord CE6 8GB/256GB is KSh 49,995. The KSh 8,995 difference is a price snapshot, not a recommendation to pay more. Confirm RAM and the actually selected CE5 variant before treating this as a one-to-one price comparison.
Newer does not mean everything is faster
OnePlus markets CE6 around a Snapdragon 7-series platform, dual-chip touch response and a 144Hz 1.5K AMOLED screen. Its official materials promote a 7,500mAh battery, with quoted endurance based on manufacturer test conditions. The CE5’s existing listing describes a 6.77-inch 120Hz display and MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Apex. Display speed, raw processing, modem performance and battery use are separate attributes, so don’t rank phones based on just one marketing number.
How to choose for Kenyan usage
For mobile money, social media, 5G browsing and everyday camera use, weigh your budget, app needs and after-sales support. CE6 may appeal more to buyers who want its newer display and battery configuration. CE5 remains relevant if it covers your actual usage. For gaming, read the supported FPS list for your exact game rather than assuming “144 FPS” applies universally.
Charger and network checks
The supplier quote for CE5 did not include a charger. Confirm whether Infinite Tech’s currently offered CE5 and CE6 boxes include the correct adapter and cable. Check regional OxygenOS/ColorOS, network bands and VoLTE on the serial-numbered unit. Do not assume all imported versions provide identical services in Kenya.
Common questions
Does CE6 automatically have better camera quality?
Not necessarily. Compare sensor, processing and credible sample photos rather than launch year.
Is the battery estimate a guarantee?
No. Manufacturer endurance tests differ from local 4G/5G, screen brightness and heavy-use patterns.
