Begin with a known manufacturer specification
LG East Africa documents the 2025 QNED70A family with 4K QNED resolution, Dynamic QNED Color, an α7 AI Processor 4K Gen8, webOS 25 and a native 60Hz refresh rate on the regional A6A variant. This establishes what buyers should expect of that verified reference code; the later QNED72B6L must be checked using its own 2026 technical sheet before declaring it faster, brighter or better for gaming.
Does the newer QNED72 justify KSh 2,000?
A KSh 2,000 difference is comparatively small for a television, but spending more only makes sense for documented useful improvements. If the QNED72 variant has a feature you need, such as different dimming hardware, smart-TV support or a suitable remote, that may justify it. Otherwise, availability, warranty and the included accessories can be better reasons to choose one. Do not treat a new model year as proof of every technical upgrade.
Which is safer for gaming?
LG’s official QNED70A6A regional reference uses a 60Hz native panel and supports gaming functions suited to that refresh limit. Before buying a QNED72 specifically for 120fps gaming, obtain the exact panel and HDMI specification. Avoid confusing marketing motion technology with true native panel refresh.
Home use checklist
A 55-inch TV is often a practical screen size for shared living rooms. Measure viewing distance and the television stand, ask about wall mounting and check which streaming applications work in Kenya. The two prices do not automatically include delivery or installation. If an accessory or warranty matters, request written confirmation.
