It supports Always-On Display (AOD), though using AOD significantly affects battery life. The aluminum case is lightweight (36.8g), and the watch is rated 5 ATM water-resistant, making it suitable for swimming.

Hardware & Performance

At its core is the Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 chipset—a 4nm processor known for its power efficiency and speed. Paired with 2GB RAM and 32GB of storage, it handles multitasking and app installations better than most budget smartwatches. You can install apps like Spotify, WhatsApp, and Google Maps directly via the Google Play Store.

Fitness & Health

The Xiaomi Watch 2 includes a 12-channel PPG sensor, enabling continuous heart rate monitoring, SpO₂ tracking, sleep analysis, stress detection, and even body composition insights. It supports over 160 sports modes, including skiing, boxing, and swimming. Dual-band L1+L5 GNSS positioning ensures precise GPS tracking, with location accuracy close to 1 meter. Battery Life

A 495mAh battery powers the watch. Xiaomi claims up to 65 hours of use on light settings, but real-world usage typically yields 1–2 days depending on AOD, GPS, and app use. Fast magnetic charging takes around 45–60 minutes for a full charge.

Software & Connectivity

Running on Wear OS 3.5, the watch grants access to Google Pay, Assistant, YouTube Music, and more. However, it has no confirmed path to Wear OS 4, which limits its future-proofing. It supports Bluetooth 5.2, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC (region-specific), a built-in microphone and speaker, and even Bluetooth calling.
